But Nick Fox said no, \u201cwe\u2019re actually seeing the opposite,\u201d he wrote on LinkedIn. Search is not dying, according to Fox, and AI search is sending billions of clicks weekly, he added.<\/p> <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTurns out, when people can ask whatever questions are on their minds, they use Google Search more than ever,\u201d he added.<\/p> <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>AI Clicks. <\/strong>Not only are people using Google more, which Google has said time and time again. But Google is also sending more clicks to the web, he added. <\/p> <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nick Fox wrote:<\/p> <ul class=\"wp-block-list\"> <li>\u201cWe continue to send billions of clicks to the web every day through Search.\u201d<\/li> <li>\u201cWe\u2019re now sending billions of clicks to websites every week through AI features in Search alone.\u201d<\/li> <\/ul> <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fox added, \u201cand we\u2019re just getting started.\u201d<\/p> <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Meanwhile. <\/strong>We are seeing more and more evidence that Google is sending fewer clicks to sites than before. A recent zero click study showed zero-clicks hit 68% this year. Another report showed AI Overviews cut clicks by 42%. <\/p> <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why we care<\/strong>. Google continues to talk about the importance of sending clicks to the open web. That alone is promising, but we are eager to see the data. We\u2019ve seen Google add preferred sources, made improvements to recipe links, and overall link tweaks to improve clicks.<\/p> <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Google continues to refuse to share click data, even after releasing AI performance reports in Google Search Console.
