Despite an era marked by polarization, climate risks and rapid technological disruption, Bill Gates says he\u00a0remains\u00a0optimistic about the world\u2019s long-term future. Writing in a blog post on Friday, the Microsoft co-founder and billionaire philanthropist argued that humanity is still on a positive trajectory\u2014provided it addresses a few critical challenges head-on.\u00a0<\/p>
\u201cWe are far better off than when I was born 70 years ago,\u201d Gates wrote, pointing to breakthroughs in technology and global health that have dramatically improved living standards worldwide. A warning on generosity & global inequality<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p> One of Gates\u2019 biggest concerns is whether a wealthier world will remain generous toward those most in need.
