Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy delivered a scathing assessment of Europe\u2019s global role, accusing the continent of lacking political unity and relying too heavily on the United States for leadership, as he addressed the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.\u00a0<\/p>
\u201cInstead of taking the lead in defending freedom worldwide, especially when America\u2019s focus shifts elsewhere, Europe looks lost trying to convince the US President to change,\u201d Zelenskyy said,\u00a0nearly four\u00a0years after Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine.\u00a0<\/p>
Referring to US President Donald Trump, whom he met privately before the speech, Zelenskyy said Europe was failing to command Washington\u2019s attention as a serious geopolitical force.\u00a0<\/p>
