Describing it as a \u201ctiny company (3\u20134 people)\u201d, he said the founder\u2019s management style was \u201cintense, to say the least\u201d, with constant calls for updates, long meetings and rude communication.<\/p> <p data-end=\"1279\" data-start=\"1065\">Despite this, he said he continued to put in extra effort. \u201cI still pushed through, took detailed notes, delivered everything on time, put in extra hours, because I just wanted to convert it into a full-time role.\u201d<\/p> <p data-end=\"1564\" data-start=\"1281\">He did receive an offer, which he described as \u201cdecent for a fresher\u201d, but said deeper issues soon became apparent.<\/p> <p data-end=\"1564\" data-start=\"1281\">According to him, the business was not the founder\u2019s primary focus, as \u201chis main income is from real estate, so this company never really felt like a priority to him.\u201d<\/p> <p data-end=\"2071\" data-start=\"1571\">He said salaries were never paid on time, there was no proper leave policy with employees expected to work weekends to make up for time off, and work demands were often unpredictable and last-minute. He also alleged a pattern of unfair treatment, including delayed payments and verbal misconduct. Despite regularly raising these concerns and saying he \u201cwasn\u2019t someone who stayed silent,\u201d he said he was terminated after 1.5 years without any prior discussion. \u201cNo discussion. No warning. Just\u2026 done.\u201d<\/p> <p data-end=\"2261\" data-start=\"2073\">While he is currently serving a two-month notice period and preparing for a job switch, he said the situation worsened when he was asked to work over a weekend despite pending salary dues.<\/p> <p data-end=\"2486\" data-start=\"2263\">\u201cOne month into my notice period, still no salary this month. And today (Monday morning), he messages asking me to work both Saturday and Sunday and take Monday and Tuesday off instead\u2026 informing me the same day,\u201d he wrote.<\/p> <p data-end=\"2729\" data-start=\"2488\">He said he declined to work on Sunday, but when asked for a reason, the exchange left him overwhelmed. \u201cI\u2019m usually a very composed, practical person. I\u2019ve handled this situation for 1.5 years. But today I broke down. I\u2019m just so exhausted.\u201d<\/p> <p data-end=\"2973\" data-start=\"2731\">Reflecting on the experience, he questioned workplace practices that leave employees chasing their own pay. \u201cI don\u2019t understand how people like this operate. How do they treat employees like this and feel okay? No accountability, no empathy.\u201d<\/p> <p data-end=\"3191\" data-start=\"2975\">He added that while he is financially stable, others may not be in the same position. \u201cI\u2019m fortunate I don\u2019t have financial pressure, but what about others who do? Why should anyone have to beg for their own salary?\u201d<\/p> <p data-end=\"3336\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\" data-start=\"3193\">He said he is continuing to prepare for a transition while managing work, adding that \u201cin between\u2026 it just gets really hard to stay motivated.\u201d<\/p> <p data-end=\"3477\" data-start=\"3174\">The post quickly went viral with\u00a0many Redditors sharing similar frustrations and advice.<\/p> <p data-end=\"3477\" data-start=\"3174\">One user wrote, \u201cThey fired you, but you\u2019re still working \u2018notice period\u2019? Why? Read your employment contract, they should ideally pay your notice when they fire you.
