As geopolitical shocks ripple through supply chains and markets, the Himadri Speciality Chemical chief says resilience, not stability, is now the defining trait of successful businesses.\u00a0<\/p> <p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{46dffcad-e57e-4f80-b3f7-d4875cd9e5c4}{54}\" paraid=\"393224661\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Speaking at the <em>Business Today\u00a0MindRush\u00a0&amp; India\u2019s Best CEOs Awards<\/em>, Choudhary said disruption is no longer an exception \u2014 it is the baseline. \u201cToday disruption has become the real normal situation. The way we are seeing uh if\u00a0there&#8217;s\u00a0no diff disruption then we feel uncomfortable,\u201d he said, pointing to a steady stream of global shocks \u2014 from the pandemic to geopolitical tensions \u2014 that have reshaped decision-making.\u00a0<\/p> <p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{46dffcad-e57e-4f80-b3f7-d4875cd9e5c4}{59}\" paraid=\"1464285208\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Against this backdrop, Himadri has focused on building a resilient and sustainable operating model. \u201cIn the last four years,\u00a0there has been\u00a0a number of\u00a0issues including\u00a0geopolitical\u00a0issues, before that\u00a0Covid one after another.\u00a0In this year itself there has been so many geopolitical events.\u00a0So,\u00a0the company\u00a0has to\u00a0be\u00a0really resilient\u00a0and now we\u00a0have to\u00a0take all our decisions looking at all these aspects together,\u201d he noted.\u00a0<\/p> <p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{46dffcad-e57e-4f80-b3f7-d4875cd9e5c4}{64}\" paraid=\"1441228053\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">A key advantage for the company, he said, is its\u00a0relatively insulated\u00a0supply chain. \u201cFor us at Himadri, the supply chain is not dependent on middle east or west Asian country.\u00a0So,\u00a0we have gone through lot of uh\u00a0ups and downs\u00a0in the history and that is how we have been able to uh make a sustainable business model,\u201d Choudhary explained, while acknowledging that challenges persist across the industry.\u00a0<\/p> <p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{46dffcad-e57e-4f80-b3f7-d4875cd9e5c4}{69}\" paraid=\"936525932\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Despite ongoing volatility, he\u00a0remains\u00a0optimistic about navigating the current crisis. Drawing on decades of experience, Choudhary underscored that uncertainty often brings opportunity. \u201cSee, I started Himadri 35 years back and since then have seen lots of risk and lot of dispersion happening. So,\u00a0I\u00a0firmly believe\u00a0all these gives you a lot of opportunity\u00a0and\u00a0challenges always brings\u00a0the best of times and\u00a0best of decisions\u00a0are taken during these times only,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p> <p lang=\"EN-US\" paraeid=\"{46dffcad-e57e-4f80-b3f7-d4875cd9e5c4}{74}\" paraid=\"688533980\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Rather than reacting with anxiety, his approach is rooted in clarity and composure. \u201cSo,\u00a0I\u00a0firmly believe\u00a0that I should have a good sound sleep rather than worrying about this thing and get up in the morning with a fresh mind to convert challenges into opportunities.
