Mercedes-Benz India recorded 400 bookings for its entry-luxury sedan, the CLA BEV, ahead of its launch on April 24. The born-electric CLA BEV is the German carmaker\u2019s first next generation vehicle based on Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA) in India.<\/p>
The CLA BEV comes in three trims: CLA 200 Standard Range (Progressive Line), CLA 250+ Long Range (AMG Line) and the top-end CLA 250+ Launch Edition.<\/p>
Pricing, range and delivery timelines<\/strong><\/p> The CLA 200 Standard Range, priced at Rs 55 lakhs (ex-showroom), offers a WLTP-certified range of 542 kilometres on a single charge. The CLA 250+ Long Range, priced at Rs 59 lakh, comes with an 85.5 kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery pack that gives a claimed range of 792 kilometres. The CLA BEV Launch Edition, priced at Rs 64 lakh, also offers a range of 792 kilometres.<\/p> The CLA 250+ Long Range and the CLA 250+ \u2018Launch Edition\u2019 use an 800 Volt architecture, adding 400 kms of range in 20 minutes via a 240 kW DC fast charger. The CLA 200 Standard Range adds 320 kms at the same time. At the core of the CLA BEV is MB.OS, built on the MMA platform. This system supports over-the-air updates, ongoing feature improvements, and an MBUX (AI powered infotainment system) interface that adapts to the driver\u2019s behavior. Mercedes-Benz will conduct physical inspection of the High Voltage Batteries with system guidance for accurate results.
