Speaking during the inauguration of a new US Embassy Support Annex building in New Delhi on May 23, Rubio described the India-US relationship as the \u201ccornerstone\u201d of America\u2019s engagement in the Indo-Pacific region.\u00a0<\/p>
\u201cIt is at the cornerstone of this important partnership between us and India, which, as I said, is an incredibly important one. And it’s the reason why I’m here on this visit to reaffirm those ties, to build upon them,\u201d Rubio said.\u00a0<\/p>
