SEOPress in 2025: performance, AI, and simplicity
2025 was a rich year for SEOPress, focused on performance, reliability, and automation.
XML sitemaps are now up to 8 times faster, the interface has been improved, and the universal metabox continues to make SEO management even simpler. Artificial intelligence, with DeepSeek and GPT-5, makes it possible to automatically generate titles, descriptions, and alternative text for images, while the AI chatbot provides assistance directly from within the plugin interface (and many of you appreciate it: more than 1,800 conversations generated).
Our 404 error management and SEO audit features have been optimized and fixed for greater efficiency and relevance.
We also strengthened compatibility with WordPress 6.9, WooCommerce, and page builders, while making migration from other SEO plugins easier. Security and compliance have been reinforced, with cleaner code that respects standards (this commitment is ongoing and continuous—2026 will be no exception), along with improved user consent management.
Finally, 2025 was above all a year of collaboration with our community. Every piece of feedback, suggestion, or question helped shape SEOPress. Thank you all for your trust and engagement.

New CTO: Rémi Corson!
Rémi Corson has joined the SEOPress team as Chief Technical Officer (CTO) to accelerate the development of our products. His previous experience at Easy Digital Downloads (Sandhills Development), along with more than 10 years at WooCommerce (Automattic), is already bringing real added value to the evolution and quality of our releases—without forgetting level 2 support.
Today, the SEOPress team is made up of Lucie (CMO), Rémi (CTO), Thomas (Happiness Engineer), and myself as CEO. We can also rely on the support of long-standing partners: WP Translations for the translation of our products, and Goodness for content marketing support.

The future of SEOPress for 2026
In 2026, we have three major challenges to further evolve SEOPress and deliver an even more powerful and intuitive experience.
First, a deeper integration of artificial intelligence within the WordPress admin, and especially within the block editor, which will allow even more tasks to be automated and enable the generation of more accurate and personalized SEO content.
Next, we will move to a React-based user interface to deliver a faster, more modern, and smoother experience.
Finally, we will continue to improve what already exists by optimizing performance, strengthening compatibility with popular themes and plugins, and refining features so that every WordPress site benefits from simple, efficient, and reliable SEO.
