Lalit Modi Biopic: इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग (IPL) के फाउंडर और पूर्व चेयरमैन ललित मोदी ने एक मीडिया इंटरव्यू में खुलासा किया है कि उनकी जिंदगी और आईपीएल की शुरुआत पर आधारित एक बायोपिक बनाई जा रही है। फिलहाल यह अभी स्क्रिप्टिंग (Scripting) फेज में है और इसके लिए मोदी पिछले काफी टाइम से स्क्रिप्ट राइटर्स को इंटरव्यू दे रहे हैं।
ANI को दिए एक इंटरव्यू में ललित मोदी ने बताया कि यह फिल्म सिर्फ उनकी निजी जिंदगी की कहानी नहीं होगी बल्कि यह भी दिखाएगी कि कैसे आईपीएल दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी और सबसे सफल क्रिकेट लीग्स में से एक बना। उन्होंने कहा कि फिल्म में क्रिकेट के साथ-साथ बिजनेस, इंटरनेशनल लेवल पर हुई तैयारियों और इसके पीछे की कहानियों को भी दिखाया जाएगा।
मोदी से मिलने लंदन गए रणवीर सिंह
ललित मोदी ने दावा किया कि बॉलीवुड अभिनेता रणवीर सिंह खुद उनसे मिलने लंदन आए थे और उन्होंने उनकी भूमिका निभाने की इच्छा जताई थी। मोदी के मुताबिक करीब दो साल पहले उन्हें एक फोन आया था जिसमें बताया गया कि रणवीर उनसे मिलना चाहते हैं। इसके बाद दोनों की मुलाकात लंदन स्थित उनके घर पर हुई।

मोदी ने कहा रणवीर मेरा किरदार निभाना चाहते हैं। वह मुझसे मिलने आए थे। मैं चाहता हूं कि वही मेरा किरदार निभाएं, लेकिन अब वह इतने बड़े स्टार बन चुके हैं कि उनके पास समय होगा या नहीं, यह कहना मुश्किल है।
उन्होंने बताया कि रणवीर सिंह ने उनसे कहा था कि अगर उन्हें अपनी जिंदगी में कोई एक किरदार निभाने का मौका मिले, तो वह ललित मोदी का किरदार निभाना चाहेंगे। मोदी ने साफ किया कि यह विचार उनकी तरफ से नहीं आया था, बल्कि खुद रणवीर ने इसमें दिलचस्पी दिखाई थी।

मोदी ने कहा रणवीर एक शानदार अभिनेता हैं। मैं उन्हें अपनी बायोपिक में देखना पसंद करुंगा। उनके मुताबिक आईपीएल की कहानी सिर्फ भारत तक सीमित नहीं है बल्कि इस लीग को शुरू करने और इसे सफल बनाने के लिए उन्हें दुनिया के कई देशों की यात्रा करनी पड़ी थी। यही वजह है कि फिल्म का दायरा काफी बड़ा होगा और इसमें आईपीएल के ग्लोबल सफर को भी दिखाया जाएगा।
